EIN Summer University 2017-Rome
This year, The European Union is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome. The city where six countries settled the grounds for an ambitious community of shared values and dreams of peace and prosperity, will be the hostess of the main annual conference of the European Ideas Network.
Bringing together hundreds of policy makers, high-ranking officials, academics and representatives of the civil society from different parts of the world, the EIN 2017 Summer University will open a broad forum of debate on the issues that we believe will determine the path of our common future.
On the 28th and 29th of September, various panels of discussion will debate on the “Common Security and Stability in the Mediterranean Region”. Under this theme, we will endeavour to tackle the challenges and find the solutions that will better shape Europe’s future policies on: Immigration and demography; the future of Europe; digitalisation and the virtual enterprise - technological innovation, entrepreneurship and strategic management; the EU strategies on counter terrorism, terrorism and extremism; human dignity and bioethics; the financial sector development, economic growth and stability in the EU; the EU-Russia energy dialogue; increasing the impact of the EU foreign policy; the future of the transatlantic relations; youth empowerment in the EU; the EU security and defence.
